Magazine practical task evaluation
1) Save your finished Photoshop magazine cover as a JPEG image and upload it to your evaluation blogpost.
2) Write an evaluation of your work: have you succeeded in your brief to create a new, original edition of an existing magazine?
in my opinion i think i successfully created a new, original edition of an existing empire magazine as i used conventions of a traditional magazine and used new and unique style of images in terms of models and the use of animals.
3) Put your cover alongside a couple of genuine covers of your chosen magazine. How professional is your work alongside genuine examples?
alongside genuine examples , i think my final piece has elements that match the professional standards of an original empire magazine, such as my image and the stance of the models but i think that some of the fonts made it seem of a amateur level.
4) What is the strongest aspect of your work?
my image- this is due to the fact of the costume the camera quality and our location/setting that matched the theme of my magzine
5) What is the weakest aspect of your Photoshop magazine cover?
the font- the font was difficult as empire does use modern font styles but they do blend in well which was difficult for me when creating this magazine as i wanted to make an empire magazine that is modern and "quirky" but i needed to match the cover to the genre of my film which is a James bond style film.
6) What would you do differently if you completed this assignment again?
i think i would spend more time on editing and picking the fonts and making the image more grunge and gritty.
